GET set for a night of adventure when Mount Isa School of Dance performs this month.
Its concert Adventures in Wonderland will play at the civic centre on November 27 and 28.
It is set to be a whirlwind of stories, dance and drama.
Dance teacher Leanne Ryder said audiences could expect to be wowed.
“It starts with the falling down the hole and then follows Alice through all the adventures she has,” she said.
“The audience will get to see a lot of favourites with the Queens of Heart, the caterpillar and the Mad Hatter dropping in, but there is also a lot they won’t expect too.”
Mrs Ryder said it was always challenging planning a concert to incorporate so many children of different ages and all the different dance styles.
“There’s a lot of planning that goes into it. The teachers and I have probably been workshopping ideas for about six months and the kids started rehearsals in August,” she said.
Teagan Kum Sing plays the lead, Alice, in the production.
“It’s been a lot of fun and challenging as well,” she said. “It’s been really interesting getting into character and learning all of the different dances.”
Adventures in Wonderland is on at the Mount Isa Civic Centre from November 27 to 28 at 7pm.
