WOMEN will step up to the plate and take on greater leadership roles in Mount Isa in the next three years.
That's the word from psychic Konnie Gold.
Speaking from the Australian Psychic Expo in Mount Isa yesterday, she said the male reign over the city would soon end.
She also foretold a promising future for the city.
"Mount Isa is going to go ahead full steam and be bigger and better than before," she said.
"There will be growth - especially with more families moving to Mount Isa in search of jobs and to escape city life."
She said she did not believe that the Government's Mining Super Tax would cripple the region.
"I firmly believe that Xstrata will still go ahead with its $30million exploration in the Mount Isa and Cloncurry districts," she said.
"Maybe it won't be as large-scale as before - but it will certainly happen."
Mrs Gold also predicted that Mayor John Molony would get into more strife this year, costing him the next election, while Bob Katter would safely keep his Kennedy seat.
The Australian Psychic Expo began in Mount Isa last week with aura photos and readings proving the most popular so far.
"People here are very open and willing to try different things," Mrs Gold said.
The Australian Psychic Expo at the All Seasons Verona Hotel, Mount Isa is on until 8pm tomorrow.
