AS the pitch takes form and the teams are announced, the hunt has begun for local challengers.
The Queensland Bulls is looking for a Mount Isa school to contest 10 overs within a lunchtime challenge next month and all it takes is one person to have their team considered contenders.
Five Bulls players are honing their skills for their 10 overs-a-side match against a local school team on Friday, September 14.
The winning school will not only pit its cricketers against the State's best, the whole school can cheer from the sidelines and major sponsor Suncorp will also donate a shade tent to the school - win, lose or draw.
All that young cricketers need do to have their school team considered is answer the following questions and send them in to The North West Star by Friday, September 7.
● The Bulls will play a Twenty20 match at Kruttschnitt Oval on what date in September?
● Name your favourite Bulls player heading to Mount Isa.
● I should apply sunscreen how many minutes before going outside?
● In the heat of summer, it only takes how many minutes to burn?
If you need a bit of a leg-up, visit bulls.com.au or suncorp.com.au/skincancer or read the neighbouring article to find the answers.
To get your school team on the pitch with the Queensland Bulls, send your full name, school, age and phone number with the answers to PO Box 112, Mount Isa 4825 or drop them into The North West Star, 112 Camooweal Street, by September 7.
