THE Mount Isa Junior Rugby League (MIJRL) will be holding its sign-on as part of the Super Sports Sign-On Day to be held at Buchanan Park on Sunday.
Wanderers, Black Stars and Town rugby league clubs will be represented on the day and MIJRL president Warren Hess has encouraged former and future junior players to sign up for a big season.
"There are a lot of exciting things happening in junior rugby league this year," Mr Hess said.
"We will be running a junior competition for ages groups U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 with an emphasis on participation, fun and safety."
Mr Hess said the MIJRL had also added several representative fixtures to the junior season.
"There are some exciting games ahead with a junior carnival in Normanton, the Laurie Spina U11 Carnival in Townsville and the possibility of a junior cultural exchange to the Sunshine Coast," he said.
The Super Sports Sign-On Day will also feature other sporting clubs and will be a chance for families to find out what is going on in the Mount Isa sporting community.
n Doors at Buchanan Park open at 10am and the event runs until 1pm.
