THE calls of dig, set and spike will soon be heard when The Bell and Moir Toyota Volleyball season starts on February 21.
The courts at Squashways will play host to another season of exciting volleyball where competition will be mixed with a healthy dose of social fun.
Squashways manager and competition organiser Jason Ranie said the 2012 season will hit-off with a week of social play prior to the competition on February 14.
"The first week social will allow people to get a bit of practice before the competition starts and will also allow people to come down and try out volleyball, to see if they want to enter a team in the competition," Ranie said.
"We are trying to make sure it is a very social atmosphere this season by breaking the competition into two divisions after the first round.
"This will allow teams to play each other at their standard in the following rounds."
The season will consist of women's competition playing at 6pm and mixed who play at 7pm.
Ranie said if numbers permit a mens competition will be played at 8pm.
Ten teams can play in each competition and nominations can be submitted at Squashways.
