Louise Doyle is currently licensed to drive a roller, grader skidsteer, and front end loader.
CDEP general manager Phil Barwick said following the training she was shortlisted from many Indigenous applicants around Queensland and was one of four successful applicants for the Hasting Deering program.
"Louise will be doing a 20-week bridging program at the institute with the intention of her commencing an apprenticeship with Hastings Deering at the end of that."
When she completes the program Louise will hold a Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation; a nationally recognised qualification in Maths and English; and a forklift licence and Working at Heights ticket.
