THE ROYAL Flying Doctor Service is usually the recipient of charitable donations, but RFDS staff turned the tables with a generous gift to animal rescue group, Paws, Hoofs and Claws.

RFDS administration officer Sonja Clark said she wanted to do something to help Paws, Hoofs and Claws during the busy festive season and asked her colleagues to help her raise funds to purchase cat and dog food.
Paws, Hoofs and Claws president Sue Carson said it was a lovely gesture.
"It makes us realise that people are thinking of us and remembering our pets," Ms Carson said.
"It is great to know that people care about the work we do with rescued animals."
