Town Lions teammates Ben Watt and second-rower Rohan Schulz join Black Stars Diehards player Sean Heffernan in the line-up, along with five players from the Mid West League.
Doomadgee Dragons pair Craig Logan and Alfred Ned, Normanton Stingers back Patrick Dargan, Jeffrey Wilson from the Cloncurry Eagles and Hughenden Bulls player William Singleton were also named in the Queensland Outback team in a result that tells a story about the depth of rugby league talent in the region.
Mount Isa Rugby League president Warren Hess said the number of Mount Isa and Mid West players named in the team would remind rugby league officials about the level of talent in the bush.
"It's good to see three of the local boys in the team," he said.
"I think it will remind them [QRL] how much talent is out here."
Hughenden coach Jeff Gleadhill said the news of Singleton's selection was "absolutely fantastic".
"It's good news for William and the game," Gleadhill said
"We've got a bit of talent here [in the North West]."
In the local derby at the carnival on Saturday afternoon, the Mount Isa Miners toppled the Mid West Magpies 30-18.
