Sean Heffernan from Black Stars, along with Town pair Ben Watt and Rohan Schulz were selected from the Queensland Outback Muster tournament and will combine with the best players from the event, which included players from the Mid-West, South West and Central West regions.
Wanderers centre/second rower Corey Carlson was also named in the side as a shadow.
The Queensland Outback side will play Cape York United, a side made up of players from the Cape York and Torres Strait areas, after the Queensland Cup clash between Northern Pride and Souths Logan Magpies at Alec Inch Oval.
Heffernan, who is in his first season in the MIRL, said he was bursting with excitement at the prospect of playing in front of a big crowd expected for the Country Week game.
"It should be a good experience," he said.
"We've got a pretty good team so I'd say we will go well."
Heffernan, 19, was born in Mount Isa, but left to finish his schooling in Brisbane, and returned to Mount Isa at the start of the year to undertake a boilermaker apprenticeship with Xstrata.
Originally he began playing soccer as a youngster but was lured to the game of rugby league by a mate, and played for Cudgen Rugby League Club south of the Queensland-NSW border.
After being given the chance to play A-Grade by the Cudgen senior coach at age 15, Heffernan's career has blossomed.
The next step for most of the players in Saturday's game is a crack at the Queensland Cup, and Heffernan said if selectors saw him as a playing prospect he would consider a move to pursue that path as "a definite option".
The versatile player - who can play wing, full-back and centre - said he was looking forward to the challenge of taking on the unique side from the Cape.
"It's going to be interesting to play against a side like them, I'd say they will be pretty fast," he said.
The two sides will run out after the Queensland Cup game, and Heffernan said he hoped the competition's talent scouts took notice of the talent on show.
From the Mid-West region, Doomadgee will be represented by Craig Logan and Alfred Ned, along with Normanton playmaker Patrick Dargan, Cloncurry's Jeffrey Wilson and Hughenden's William Singleton.
MIRL development officer Scott Kyle said the opportunity to play in front of Queensland Cup teams was a major boost for players in the North West.
"It's a big honour for them," he said.
"It's another pathway for them and a really good chance to play at representative level."
Kyle said that with the Foley Shield competition being cut back to bi-annually, and the Queensland Outback's regular match against the NSW Country side being scrapped, it kept the players and community interested in rugby league.
Kyle said he expected the Cape York United side to be "big, fast and skilful".
The Outback Queensland v Cape York United kicks off at 5pm, after the Queensland Cup game between the Pride and Magpies (3pm) on Saturday at Alec Inch Oval.
