The existing five clubs have welcomed the Isaroos to the fray.
Having fielded a women's team for a number of years, 2013 will mark the first season the club will line up in the men's fixtures.
Isaroos have recruited players from other clubs, meaning there will be plenty of familiar faces in new colours when the season kicks off tomorrow at the Mount Isa Soccer Fields.
Reigning premiers Concordia will again be hard to beat, while Atlas A and Parkside A will be out for revenge having come so close last year.
International also cannot be discounted from the title race, having picked up several handy additions.
President Dan Woomer can't wait for the first kick, and strongly believes the title is anyone's for the taking.
"I believe it will be a very open competition," he said.
"International have added some new players to the squad while the addition of Isaroos also expands the competition.
"I believe the team with the best consistency will be the one's left standing at the end of the season."
The expansion of the league has also created plenty of other opportunities for the round ball code in Mount Isa, including representative teams and tours.
The committee is already eyeing off a place in next year's Townsville Tri-series.
The league is hopeful of submitting a 16-man squad to the event which is traditionally held over the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
