Alfred Ronald Touzel of Allans Flat, Victoria, served during World War 2 in the Navy on ships HMAS Bungaree and HMAS Australia. Came home to his family.
Sgt Air Observer RAAF Charles William Harris was one of the first two Australian airman killed in WWII. His crew volunteered to go on a secret mission to rescue the family of French General Charles De Gaulle when their Walrus aircraft crashed due to fog or German forces. Died at age 32.

3388 Private (Pte) John Stuart Dyce, 56th Battalion, of Appin, NSW. A farmer prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 9th Reinforcements from Sydney aboard HMAT Anchises on 24 January 1917. Later transferring to the 36th Battalion, he was killed in action at Passchendaele, Belgium on 17 October 1917, aged 26.
