The Young Guns produced their best performance of the season to down reigning premiers Rovers by 12-points at Legend Oval.
The two-goal margin didn't reflect Lake Nash's superb play, notching 20 scoring shots to Rovers' 13.
Following their best performance of the year, Young Guns coach James Billy said he was confident his team could beat any opposition put before them.
"We know we can beat any team on our day," he said.
"The boys have been working really hard at training, particularly on their fitness."
Young Guns were brilliant, leading by as much as five goals in the third term before Rovers challenged late in the match.
The standout feature of the game was Lake Nash's excellent skills, finding targets with pin-point accuracy by foot and grasping their chances with strong hands.
Jameson Billy, Tristan Ray, Jeremiah Percey, Gavin Payne and Scott Mahoney led the way for Young Guns.
For Rovers the Queen's Birthday bye could not come at a better time.
It was their second loss in as many matches for the once undefeated reigning premiers, who have struggled to field their best team on a consistent basis.
Shannon Roberts and Simon Pope were among the better Rovers players.
There will be no matches next weekend due to the Queen's Birthday holiday.
