The team, which is made up of 15 different towns in south Queensland, convincingly won all their matches across the two-day rugby league carnival.
Mid-West president Paul Stephens said it was a good showing by all teams involved.
"It was one of the better carnivals we've had," he said.
"Really well run, and full credit to Hughenden who hosted.
"There was no trouble or anything like that...sometimes when all footballers converge on one town you get a bit of mayhem but everyone was really well behaved."
Mid-West held their own against the mighty South West early in the game before being blown away.
Mid-West came away from the carnival with a win over Central West, but a loss against Mount Isa in a high-quality affair on Sunday.
"Both teams were pretty sore and sorry by the third game on Sunday," Stephens said.
"The standard of referee was excellent across the weekend."
From the carnival, a Queensland Outback team was selected who will play against Cape Torres.
"It's certainly a good Outback side," Stephens said.
"I think every team got a good look in.
"The forward pack is very strong and the halves are pretty handy too.
"We gave them (Cape Torres) a hiding last year and there has been talk that if we beat them again they (Queensland Rugby League) will move Cape Torres into the Outback Carnival with the rest of us."
Next year's QRL Outback Carnival is expected to be in Mount Isa.
