The Youth Council comprises four councillors from Spinifex Senior who outlined at the recent council meeting how seriously the loss of resources is affecting their study capability.
Junior Mayor Toni Bennett says the Youth Council is keen to rally to the aid of Spinifex students and is calling on the community to dig deep and help out.
"The loss of Spinifex Senior's library is terrible but we want to look at the positive side because now it allows the students to get new resources," Ms Bennett said.
"We would love to receive donations of books, money, media resources and anything at all that will help Spinifex students get through until their library and resources can be replaced.
"We want to thank everyone for their generosity and understanding during this tough time."
