Buffs will be boosted by the return of big man David Glossop for tomorrow's all-or-nothing clash with Tigers at Legend Oval.
Glossop, a ruckman who can cover the ground, will fly in late tonight, take his place for tomorrow's 1pm fixture, then depart Mount Isa on Sunday morning to return to work.
Buffaloes' coach Brad Nunn praised Glossop's determination and hoped it would lift his teammates.
"It's a huge commitment for him," Nunn said.
"The return trip is approximately $1000 and that's coming off his own back. It's simply awesome. That's why I've picked him all year because he gives you a 100 per cent and puts the club before anything."
The return of Glossop as well as midfielder Cam Hann are sure to be key inclusions for Buffaloes who are coming off a 27-point loss to Rovers.
Brent Clark is the only exclusion thus far, ruling himself out with an injured hamstring.
"We've got a couple out with injury at the moment," Nunn said.
"Losing Clarky out of the back line certainly hurts, but gaining Cammo (Hann) and Glossop will ease the pain."
Nunn put the midfielders on notice, warning them to be on their game against an impressive Tigers' unit.
"I think the game will be won and lost out of midfield," he said.
"Tigers have the best midfield in the competition, so hopefully we can choke them and limit their output.
"I noticed last week they lay an 18 man zone very effectively."
Buffaloes and Tigers play at Legend Oval from 1pm.
