The Mount Isa AFL Association wraps up tomorrow, with Rovers and Buffaloes contesting the decider. The grand final will kick-off at 2pm at Legend Oval and features the same two sides from last year’s decider, Rovers and Buffaloes. Rovers, led by Steve Andrews and coach Bill Cook, are the minor premiers and have also had the wood on Buffaloes in recent times. Buffs on the other hand boast the 2013 Cargill Medallist in James Page. The scene is set for another epic match, in what has been a fascinatingly close year according to Mount Isa AFL president Brian Kotanko. "Season 2013 in AFL Mount Isa competition has been one of the most hotly contested and even seasons seen for many years," he said. "The two best sides for 2013, Rovers Football Club and Buffaloes Football Club, battling out for the prestigious Stewie Horwood Memorial Premiership Trophy. "Thanks must also go out to the Tigers Football Club and the Young Guns Football Club for being part of a great competition." Martin Carland, Michael Neade and Thomas Cook will be in charge of proceedings tomorrow.
