Never missing a chance to get involved with the community, Alex Burgaretta (Paws, Hoofs and Claws) and Dannielle Horwood (Neighbourhood Watch) were on hand last week to watch the unveiling of the council's time capsule.
Unfortunately, the other two entrants, Hayley Drake (NQ Rescue Helicopter) and Tegan Kastermans (RFDS), couldn't make it to the ceremony.
Celebrating 20 years of hard work
HERE at The North West Star, we're always keen to get local faces in the paper, especially when they've been doing great things around our region.
And who better to include than these two women who have been involved with Mount Isa for more than 20 years.
Also spotted at last week's time capsule reveal were long-time Isans Ruth Algie and Ailsa Bray.
Mrs Algie was the woman of the hour, having helped clean up the items in the time capsule, which had unfortunately suffered water damage in the past 25 years of being buried near the civic centre.
Mrs Algie had a few items of her own included in the capsule, primarily a book of poetry verses written by her and her mother, and she said she's keen to include something in the next capsule to be opened in a decade.
