Born and bred Mount Isan Natalie Flecker has accepted the role.
Ms Flecker said she was thrilled to accept the position of manager of the North West's signature event.
``Over the years I have watched the Mount Isa rodeo transform into an award-winning event which attracts more than 25,000 visitors to the region,'' she said.
She believes the rodeo is an exciting and sustainable event for the community and the many thousands of visitors who attend it.
Ms Flecker said she looked forward to working with Rotarians, volunteers and the community to stage the Southern Hemisphere's largest rodeo.
She has a wide range of experience in the corporate sector and small business.
Ms Flecker has a business degree from James Cook University and has worked in high level commercial banking for eight years.
In 2008 she became the joint owner of Yongola Lodge in Townsville and most recently she was the business event's executive for the Townsville Enterprise Convention Bureau.
