Inside Rodeo presenter Warren Ryan and Australian Professional Rodeo Association administrator Steve Hilton believe the new monthly show, starting at 8.30pm on Saturday on Aurora TV, will promote a sport that puts $150 million into the Australian economy each year.
``Rodeo committees donate $6.5 million each year to charities, sporting groups and the community,'' Hilton said.
Ryan said he spent three days with the Knudsens at their Taroom property in Queensland.
``We looked at their breeding program. Bec has imported two barrel racing stallions from America and Rick has imported a bucking stallion,'' Ryan said.
``Both are successful competitors who have competed in National Finals Rodeos.''
The first show on Saturday will be on the Warwick Rodeo, held in Queensland on the last weekend of October last year.
Ryan shows the people behind the scenes in all states, including some of the finalists for the May 1 to 4 National Finals Rodeo at Caboolture.
Two of the early shows will feature Emerald cowboy Shane Kenny, the most successful in APRA history, and Moree rider Wendy Caban, who has won six of the past 15 cowgirl titles.
The 30-minute Inside Rodeo TV will be shown on Aurora TV and Optus Digital.
