Hayley Drake, who was raising money for the RACQ NQ Rescue helicopter, has decided to leave the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
Queen quest co-ordinator Louise Brogden said it was sad to see Ms Drake go, but it was a good opportunity for any other queen hopefuls to get in the running.
``It's lucky in a way that we're able to look out for a new entrant so early, because it's so early in the game that it wouldn't take much to catch up to the other three,'' she said.
``The year Tanya Malouf was queen she didn't start until about April and took it out, and Candice Harding entered late also, so it is possible to get in, sink your teeth in and win still.''
Mrs Brogden said potential entrants did not need to be long-time locals to get involved with the community, they just needed passion for their chosen charity, a bit of time on their hands and a good support crew.
