The couple, from Brussels in Belgium, were in the city visiting family this week.
It is the eighth time Ms Biasutto has visited Mount Isa and the seventh time for Mr Amond.
``I first came at the end of 1996 between December and January,'' Ms Biasutto said.
``I came with an organised tour and after that the group left and I came to Mount Isa because I wanted to see my aunt Umberta Trentin.''
Ms Biasutto said the couple had fallen in love with Australia and Mount Isa.
``I remember landing and what struck me was the colour of the earth, the red colour and the fact that apart from the town and the mine there was nothing,'' she said.
Ms Biasutto was even lucky enough to go on an underground tour at Mount Isa Mines on her first trip to the city, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Mr Amond first visited Australia and Mount Isa in 1999.
``I had been dreaming about coming to Australia for many years,'' he said.
