Search crews are scouring Mount Isa for fresh leads in relation to 17-year-old Kyle Coleman's disappearance.
Kyle was last seen at a Skewes Street home at 6am on Saturday morning carrying a green swag and a backpack. Crews have been searching for Kyle since late Sunday afternoon.
Police believe Kyle set out to walk back to his Parkside home, 3km away, but hasn’t been in contact with his family or friends since.
State Emergency Services volunteers are currently walking through Breakaway Creek behind Davis and Ryan Roads.
Kyle's employer Popey's Diesel has also set up a group of people to assist the search. It's believed the group is setting out to search an area around 23rd Avenue. About 20 vehicles were parked outside the business on Old Mica Creek Road this morning.
Last night, police and volunteers were searching camping spots around the city, focusing mainly on The Junction out towards Lake Moondarra. Police said the search failed to uncover any new information.
Mount Isa Police Inspector Trevor Kidd said this morning there had been no new updates and police were desperate for fresh information.
Insp Kidd praised the community's involvement in searching for Kyle.
"We've got plenty of support assisting us in the search from friends, family and work colleagues," he said.
Insp Kidd said Kyle's disappearance "doesn't make sense" and police would continue to work with investigators.
"We really need something very substantial to help this investigation," he said.
There has been some reports on social media of potential sightings of a person fitting Kyle's description near George Fisher Mine, and also one in Brisbane.
But a relative commented on the post that there was "nothing in Brisbane" for Kyle.
A Facebook site called 'Please help find Kyle Coleman' has been set up and has more than 3000 likes.
Insp Kidd said speculation on social media was "one of the real challenges of the investigation".
Anyone with information about Kyle Coleman ‘s whereabouts should contact the Mount Isa Police Station or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or 24hrs a day
