Today marks the ninth day of the search for the 17-year-old.
Police believe Kyle attended a number of parties in the early hours of Saturday, February 22, and was last seen leaving a friend's Skewes Street home around 6am carrying a green swag and a backpack.
Over the weekend eight helicopters and a large number of emergency workers and police covered new ground between Camooweal and Mount Isa, including Undilla Station where Kyle was spotted camping with a friend the day before his disappearance.
Police confirmed yesterday that the 21-year-old man who was found dead in his Soldiers Hill home last week was the same person who went camping with Kyle that weekend.
Yesterday's aerial searches of Lake Moondarra, the Leichhardt River and repeated searches of locations around Mount Isa failed to produce any new leads.
Inspector Trevor Kidd said police received a small amount of information after it was revealed Kyle had attended a number of parties the morning he went missing, but more was needed to give the investigation a new direction.
``There's been information coming in about that but we need information that we can really corroborate,'' he said.
``There's lots of rumour and social media talk and second and third party information around but we need to speak with someone face to face who has seen Kyle.
``We need some fresh information.''
Kyle's parents Rob and Sonia Coleman made an emotional plea to the public in an interview with the ABC last Friday and urged anyone with information to come forward to help them find their son.
