Mount Isa search and rescue co-ordinator Senior Constable Chris Mair said police covered an area of 11,000 square kilometres, not including the locations in the city, in the past two weeks.
``We've done 180km of roadway with aerial - with both rotary choppers and fixed wing - we've done the 211 culverts, 11 river crossings and the nine rest areas between here and the Camooweal area.''
Senior Constable Mair said there were a large number of people involved with the search.
``Through the duration of the search we've had approximately 61 police, not including the investigative side of things, 26 SES, we had divers from Xstrata who were provided to us to assist, as well as search and rescue co-ordinators from the mine and on any given day I think we had approximately 60 civilians assist with the search in Mount Isa, which was greatly appreciated.''
Senior Constable Mair said at some points during the search there were eight helicopters, along with fixed wing aircraft searching for Kyle.
He said the search had been scaled back and police were now reviewing information and acting on anything new.
``We don't terminate the search, but we look at intelligence that comes in and then we act on that,'' he said.
Senior Constable Mair said trackers were brought in to search any area near Camooweal.
He implored anyone with information to come forward.
``I just wish we could give the family a little bit more, we want to give them some answers.''
