PCYC boxing coach and police liaison officer Josh Fuimoana said he was looking forward to his boxers putting their skills to good use in the ring.
``I am excited that our boxers are able to showcase their hard work and commitment through the night,'' he said.
``We have up to seven Mount Isa boxers keen to fight, including Trent Jones, Soshua Gasio, Thomas Tonks, all aged 16, and Brayden Jones, 11.
``All have at least one fight under their belts.
``BB's Boxing will also have fighters, along with boxers from Cloncurry and Longreach.
``They all have a great field of boxers, and we are looking forward to meeting them in the ring.''
Sergeant Gina Scott said the night would be enhanced by being able to hold the fights outside.
``Our great friends at Cloncurry PCYC have kindly donated a competition ring which means that we are able to hold the event outside under lights,'' she said.
``This will mean a better view and more seating.
``Bobbie Wehrman and his Fast Scaff crew have donated seating platforms so it will be a comfortable event with a great view for all.''
Sergeant Scott praised Fuimoana for his hard work preparing the boxers.
``Coach Josh and his team have been training hard, it's great to give his team and the kids an opportunity to put their skills and fitness to the test,'' she said.
``There will also be live entertainment, the auction of an Anthony Mundine boxing glove, boxing pads and a signed Melbourne Storm premiership jersey, raffles (including winning a seat on the couch for the evening, drawn before first fight) and Jodie Shepherd will be MC for the evening.''
The event starts at 5pm with tickets available at the door.
Cost is $20 for adults, $50 for a family and $10 for children.
