He held little back after the game as he stated the obvious - that Adelaide had ''too many passengers'' and named key players in Patrick Dangerfield and big-name recruit James Podsiadly, who for the second successive week, were very ordinary.

''Too many guys didn't compete,'' Sanderson said. ''Individuals were awesome, and they could walk out of the change rooms with their chin up; the rest need to have a good hard look at how they played today.

''Patrick was not at his best today. He definitely did not have a performance that would meet his expectations. I think he was frustrated; he was one of those players who turned the ball over at critical times unfortunately, which is unlike him.

''J-Pod has had two weeks where he hasn't met his own expectations. … He's not at his best at the moment, but I am sure we will see a much improved player over the next few weeks.''

But most of all, Sanderson was highly critical of his side for losing by 55 points, despite getting in front from a poor start.

''It's two weeks in a row where we hit the front and then from that moment it's been downhill. We will certainly have to review why that occurs … There was too much panic today.''
