That was how Irish folk singer Robbie Dunn described the 27-year-old yesterday.
``Kevin was a ray of sunshine,'' Mr Dunn said.
He said he met him at the Buffs Club when he was playing there and ``we had a ball''.
``My memories of Kevin are all happy ones,'' Mr Dunn said.
``He had a great twinkle in his eye and an infectious laugh, that is the way I will remember him.''
Friends posted comments on The North West Star 's website yesterday about the 27-year-old, who fell to his death from the Hard Times Mine headframe in Mount Isa on the weekend.
``RIP Kev. All your friends in Ireland miss and pray for you,'' one friend said.
Mr Dunn said his thoughts were with family and friends.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner into the 27-year-old's death.
Mount Isa Police Superintendent Russell Miller said Mr Browne, who was originally from Ireland, had been living and working in Mount Isa.
He said the incident was believed to have occurred after midnight on Saturday night and confirmed family had been informed of his death.
Superintendent Miller said it was believed Mr Browne had been out with friends.
Police were contacted about 5.30am on Sunday morning when Mr Browne had not returned home.
