The Question Marks will play Euros this weekend, after beating last year's grand finalists 19-12 at Rugby Park on Saturday night.
Cloncurry dominated early exchanges, particularly around the set-piece where its scrum was lethal, but Warrigals refused to throw in the towel despite a host of injuries to pivotal players.
Eddie Campbell went down before the game, while Cody Tully (knee), Cody Saltmere (ribs) and Stacey Campbell (elbow) suffered blows during the testing match.
Despite those injuries, the Dingoes threw everything at Cloncurry - with a late try to Dan Leyden separating the teams after a lengthy stalemate.
Although the Question Marks walked away winners, and booked a grand final berth this weekend, coach Winston Elliot said they side would need significant improvement if it was to match Euros.
``We got the result but we didn't play as well as we expected,'' he said.
``The forward pack dominated but we were a bit disappointed. A couple of passes out wide didn't go to hand.
``If they went to hand we were one-on-none. It would've been a lot different if we were a bit more accurate.''
Elliot also praised Warrigals' endeavour, in what was one of the toughest encounters seen all season.
``We knew they were going to come hard,'' he said. ``They play a more structured game like us.
``Euros and Keas rely on islander-style rugby where it's more of a sevens game.''
Kalem Fegan was brilliant at fullback while Jeremy Grimm led an inspired forward pack.
