Jamie Pickering, 49, faced Southport Magistrates Court on Monday charged with five drug-related offences, including two counts of aggravated supply of dangerous drug to a minor aged 16 years or more.

He is also charged with one count of permitting use of a place for a criminal act, relating to an apartment.

Mr Pickering was arrested on Sunday during a massive weekend police blitz on the Gold Coast’s party drug scene, which netted 152 people on 400 charges.

The owner of Surfers Paradise nightclubs SinCity and Vanity was granted bail on Monday on the condition he reside at his Mudgeeraba address and not contact six young women, understood to be witnesses in the case against him.

He owns the $250,000 yellow Ferrari with the number plates SINCITY that was driven by tennis ace Bernard Tomic when he was booked for speeding last year.

Mr Pickering was among numerous club managers, DJs and bikies and their associates arrested during the weekend raids, which began at Orchid Avenue establishments Club Liv and Shuffle on Friday night and included SinCity and Vanity.

On Sunday night, Larry Pickering, told The Australian he had not spoken to his son “for a couple of years”.

“I don’t know what’s going on there, mate,” Mr Pickering said.

Police claim Mr Pickering was connected to an interstate drug network led by another Surfers Paradise nightclub owner Ivan Tesic.

Mr Tesic, the part-owner of Club Liv, was arrested at Sydney Domestic Airport on Friday afternoon, after allegedly fleeing his Piper Street home in West Hoxton.
