Stun gun shipment
The shipment was addressed to a post office box registered to a Roma-based mining company, west of Brisbane.
A 41-year-old Gold Coast man has been charged with buying the weapons, which only police are authorised to use.
Eight stun guns, disguised as torches, were allegedly found in the man's room on the mine site. Customs and Queensland police found 42 weapons.
The man will appear in Roma Magistrates Court in early May on two weapons-related offences.
