Mr Tesic was arrested at Sydney’s domestic airport last Friday, hours before police raided his Surfers Paradise establishment Club Liv.

He arrived at Coolangatta Airport, under the escort of Gold Coast detectives, shortly after 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old had long been on the police radar, listed as an ‘‘extreme risk’’ on the National Criminal Targeting Database.

That was until he was among 152 people arrested on drug-related charges over three days of raids, starting on Friday, that targeted the Gold Coast's party drug scene and concluded the 18-month Operation Kilo Fraction.

Among those arrested were nightclub owner and property developer Jamie Pickering as well as former Bandidos sergeant-at-arms Joshua Downey.

Police allege Mr Tesic was the mastermind of a drug trafficking syndicate, which ran drugs in modified cars from Sydney to the Gold Coast where they were sold at various nightclubs, including Club Liv.

It is alleged Mr Tesic sourced cocaine from a Brazilian drug syndicate and also acquired methylamphetamine oil for the production of high-purity crystal meth.

Mr Tesic is accused of having links to four outlaw bikie gangs and will be charged with drug trafficking under Queensland’s tough anti-association laws.

He is facing an additional 25 years behind bars if convicted under the legislation.

Mr Tesic will spend the night in the Southport Watchhouse before facing court on Thursday.
