Event manager Margie Ryder said more than 2800 tickets had been sold for Saturday night of the Julia Creek event.
``We think we are going to have record numbers,'' Ms Ryder said.
She said a government feasibility study last year found the event brought $800,000 to the economy and another feasibility study would be conducted following this year's event.
Mrs Ryder said accommodation at tent city and the four-wheel-drive area was fully booked, but there were plenty of spots available at McIntyre Park.
``Bring your swag, bring your tent and head to McIntyre Park,'' she said.
Mrs Ryder said event highlights would include the Dirt 'n Dust bull ride on Saturday night, the horse races and the Cannington Dirt 'n' Dust Triathlon.
She said there was also a great line-up of live entertainment and the town was abuzz with excitement about the prospect of meeting Andrew ``Reidy'' Reid, Adriel ``Bacon'' Young and Corey Oliver from Bondi Rescue .
``Everyone is excited about seeing some celebrities in town,'' Mrs Ryder said.
She said Nashville's Jer Gregg - a pioneer in the country-music inspired New Americana sound - was also expected to be popular with crowds.
The action begins with the junior triathlon tomorrow.
Other events include a family concert, kids' entertainment, Australia's Bet Butt Competition and the Gum Boot Mud and Slush Novelty event.
