Ruri claimed the CNW-sponsored event on Saturday, producing a net score of 67 to own the A-grade title.
Scott Lithgow offered a positive first impression in his maiden outing at the Mount Isa Golf Club, finishing runner-up with a net score of 68.
In B-grade Phil Sweeney - relaxing on the first days of school holidays - was victorious, winning the April medal with a round of 79 (65 net).
Sweeney took out the B-grade field just ahead of the ever-consistent Bill Ellis (66 net).
Simon Freeman carded the best score of the C-graders, finishing with a fine effort of 67 net.
C-grade specialist Kevin Johns finished second with a score of 70 (net).
The field of 42 was down from regular numbers, with shift work and school holidays taking its toll.
Meanwhile the front nine was the venue for Sunday's ball competition.
However numbers were again down, with only 10 players teeing off.
Jacob Smith was the winner on the day, producing 25 points to edge out Bou Shepperd (24).
This weekend the club will host the Captain Trophy and the nine-hole single stableford on the front nine.
