Around 8.10pm, police attended a disturbance at Wendt Road, Chambers Flat, where a 36-year-old woman was found with two gunshot wounds to the arm.

The woman was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment where she remains in a stable condition.

A 38-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, common assault, acts intended to maim, enter dwelling with intent and an ammunition-related offence in relation to the incident.

He will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 14.
