A truck and two cars collided, with one car flipping onto its roof, shortly before the Computer Road exit at Yatala about 7.45am.
The female driver of the car which flipped managed to climb from the wreckage.
She has been taken by ambulance to Logan Community Hospital with suspected head injuries.
The truck driver was not injured.
The crash brought traffic in the northbound lanes of the motorway to a standstill for six kilometres from Yatala to Pimpama.
The wreckage was cleared about half an hour later, but motorists faced lengthy residual delays until 9am.
