The event was organised by the Young People Ahead youth advisory group.
YPA general manager Alvin Hava said the group consisted of school students and young adults.
``For the past three months they have been working hard, not only to organise this event for the benefit of their peers and as a means to bring families and community together, but to also showcase the amazing talents that some of our young people have,'' Mr Hava said.
YPA member Diane Godfrey invited all young people in the community to enter the event.
Ms Godfrey said she hoped XGames could continue to be held each year.
Entertainment will include a DJ and a jumping castle.
Competitors must register by midday at the Mount Isa skate park on the day, with first heats to be held 1pm.
