Maulers treasurer Sharon Salmon said the association has a strong New Zealand and Australian contingent and wanted to celebrate Anzac Day this year by involving veterans.
``Personally, I am a daughter of a veteran from the Vietnam War and we have two children who play touch,'' she said.
``We have at least three veterans playing in the over 35s and some also in the mixed teams.''
Salmon said it was important to the Mount Isa Touch Football Association, having such a diverse age range of players to bring awareness to the importance of Anzac Day traditions.
Mount Isa touch players will be out in force today in support of Anzac Day.
