Initiated by the 2014 Mount Isa City Youth Council, the event has attracted dozens of talented hopefuls throughout recent auditions, all vying for cash prizes of up to $1000.
Mount Isa Mayor Tony McGrady said he was proud of the efforts of Councillor Jean Ferris and the Youth Council for their excellent initiative, and said the event gave the city's youth the opportunity to shine among their peers.
``I encourage all residents to go along to the civic centre tonight to support and encourage the youth of the city in their performances,'' he said.
``We certainly have no shortage of talent in Mount Isa, and the community will see this for themselves at the inaugural Isa Youth Has Talent tonight.''
The Isa Youth Has Talent competition will be held at the civic centre, doors open at 5pm for a 6pm start.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for high school children, and free for primary school aged children and younger.
