The road toll stands at 74 this year, 35 below the figure from this time last year.
A spokesman for the Department of Transport and Main Roads said Fatality Free Friday was the one day every year drivers were asked to be extra vigilant.
``The campaign focuses on keeping roads fatality free on May 30, but we want drivers to remember the safety message at all times on the roads and behind the wheel, 365 days of the year,'' the spokesman said.
Anyone who didn't make it down to Simpson Street last Friday to pen their signature and pledge their support can join the campaign online at www.fatality
