Under 8s
IN the first under 8s match, Hornets defeated TBirds 4-2.
Goals were scored by star player Noah Pyke, who was supported in defence by Rhyley Wilson and Madison Sheehan.
TBirds worked well under pressure with the great defensive skills of Lucy Maslin and Ryan Philp scoring their only goal.
In the second under 8s game, Pirates defeated the Aces 6-0.
Aces were short on players but worked hard to fend off the prolonged attacks of Pirates.
Pirates goals were scored by experienced duo Luke Bartolo and Anthony Kleinman while Carolyn Milligan gave her all.
Aces' most improved on-field were the fearless youngsters Ella Kelly and Hugh Crawford, while Jett Palmer held defence for the Aces.
Under 11s
TBIRDS defeated Hornets in a close game 1-0.
TBirds' Tom Maslin had to work hard to score the only goal and was supported by Shannay Stringer and Alysha Laver.
Hornets' game skills are improving greatly thanks to the coaching efforts of Megha Patel.
Hornets' best on-field were Caleb Starr and Harrison Wilson, while Rosey Danial-Sloman donned the red and white for the very first time.
In the other under 11s game, Pirates narrowly defeated Aces 3-2.
A hard-fought battle between the two clubs saw Pirates' standout players Patric Murphy and Caden Nyen score goals.
Aiden McCarthy also played well and showed great improvement in his passing.
Aces goals were scored by Connor Blythe, while Clayton Cameron and Shayne O'Shea Breed worked tirelessly in defence for their team.
Under 15s
ACES under 15s scored a 2-0 win against Pirates.
Goals were scored by skilled player Patrick Brogden.
Shoshone Lupton worked well on the wing and Tristan Sloane worked hard in the centre.
Pirates Sophie Milligan and Jade Smith had a top game as did Sean Murphy.
In the other match, Hornets drew 1-1 with TBirds in a nail-biter.
Hornets' goal was scored in style by Jack O'Shea Breed.
TBirds goal was scored by Stacey Stringer proving even new kids can get one past the keeper.
Other stand outs for TBirds were Captain Mitch Nicol and Chris Holdsworth.
