It was a match-up of the two leading teams of the competition as they faced off in the men's A-grade basketball grand final.
It was evident who controlled the paint between Blazers powerhouse Ray Browning and Home Boiz's Paul Scarsi would go a long way to winning the match.
Minor premiers Blazers jumped to an early lead in the first quarter 21-17, thanks to Browning's 11 first-quarter points.
The quarter-time interval inspired Home Boiz, who came out on fire in the second stanza, recapturing the lead within minutes of returning to the court.
Honai Walker-Tephania was a huge part of the revival for Home Boiz, with 13 first-half points, largely from pushing the ball up the court on the fast break.
Blazers responded through a flurry of buckets by point guard Zac Hodgetts and headed into the main break with a three-point lead.
Hodgetts continued to be involved in everything for the Blazers early in the third quarter, whether it was assisting on teammates' baskets or shooting a three from downtown.
Home Boiz were forced to call a timeout, to stop the momentum as the lead stretched out to the largest of the match so far at 11.
Home Boiz had plenty of chances to close the gap in the third, but poor free-throw shooting hindered any chance of reclaiming the lead.
The final quarter was a different story, with the margin diminishing to just four points with three minutes left, setting up a grandstand finish.
It seemed too little too late for the Home Boiz though, who were forced to play the fouling game and continued to send Hodgetts to the line.
Hodgetts continued to make his free throws and pushed the lead out to eight, with the Blazers winning 91-83 in the end.
Hodgetts top scored for the champions with 32 points and was well supported by big man Browning with 29.
Walker-Daphnia led the Home Boiz with 19, with Aaron Quilty chipping in 14 points.
