Wanderers, Town and Black Stars all go to 1300SMILES Stadium in hope of translating their local form into success in this tournament.

Sixty-four teams will descend on Townsville from all over Queensland and Northern Territory.

Appearance in this year's carnival will mark Wanderers' third straight year of competing.

With a new coach in Jason Tapu and a host of new players, the squad heads to Townsville full of enthusiasm.

Town heads to its second  carnival in Townsville, expecting to build on last year's carnival.

Six of their players attended last season and will be counted on to lead from the front.
