A countback was needed to separate Poole and Mike Ruri, with Poole's superior play on the back nine securing him the victory in A grade.
Fifty-two players, including two from Townsville, one from Tamworth and one from Pink Lakes, competed in the three grades on Saturday at the Mount Isa Golf Course.
This represented the final lead-up event before next week's Mount Isa City Open.
Greg Bellinger's 42 points was enough for him to record victory in the B ?grade by a single point over Kevin Smart.
Andrew Simkus' strong 43 points blew the field away in C grade, with Max Fietz runner-up with 39 points.
Ball rundown winners were Darron James (40 points), John Warren (39) and Jacob Smith (39).
James backed this up with nearest to the pin on the fifth hole.
Other closest to the pin recipients included Ruri (8th), Jamie Stewart (9th), Jacob Smith (10th), John Lodewyk (11th), Greg Palm (14th) and Andrew Bell (18th).
The City of Mount Isa Gold Open starts this Saturday with the open men's and women's foursomes and concludes Sunday week after the fourth round of the open.
