CFC is joining forces with the rodeo to welcome all bubs born between 11 August, 2013 and 7 August, 2014 who are attending their first Isa Rodeo with their families.
CFC staff will also facilitate under 8s rodeo-themed art and craft activities at Buchanan Park on Saturday afternoon (August 9) as well as assisting in the parent room.
Ngukuthati CFC family support officer Ms Krystle Chong said she was delighted to play a part in Family Day.
“Long-term Isa parents remember taking happily-exhausted children home from Kalkadoon Park after a full Saturday’s rodeo entertainment and we’re keen to help re-establish that family tradition at the beautiful Buchanan Park facility,” she said.
Rodeo manager Natalie Flecker said registered mini-Mount Isans experiencing their first Isa Rodeo would be presented with commemorative certificates and ‘Isa Rodeo Bub’ bandannas in the arena during the Saturday afternoon tea break.
Ms Chong invited families to register their ‘Isa Rodeo Bubs’ at Ngukuthati, 70 Short Street, Mount Isa, between now and midday on Friday, 8 August.
After registering at the CFC, each baby’s photo will be taken so their certificates can be personalised.
The CFC is open on weekdays from 8am to 5pm.
This year’s Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo will be held from August 8-10.
