Two straight wins over Rovers and Tigers have the side primed to take down second-placed Buffaloes at Legend Oval tomorrow.
Webb says his team is determined to build on their momentum.
“All of our players are excited to take on the Buffaloes, as they are the last team we lost against,” he said.
“Every win we can secure at this stage of the season can build some momentum heading into the finals.”
Playing all four quarters has been the Young Guns weakness all season, but Webb has addressed the issue in-depth this week.
“We had a long chat during the week about playing the whole match and not having passengers walking out off the field,” he said.
“Players can’t afford to slacken off during games because it hurts the whole team.”
Webb has instigated intense training sessions to prepare the boys for tomorrow’s second v third clash.
Shutting down Buffaloes’ entrance into their forward 50 is seen as the key to stopping their opponents.
“We have been training this week assuming [James] Pagey will return for the Buffaloes,” Webb said.
“Just his presence alone in the forward line can lift the players around him.”
Webb is looking for a couple of forwards of his own to support star Jamison Billy.
“Craig Philomac has been on fire up forward for us and has really taken some of the pressure off Jamison,” he said.
Young Guns trio Clarence Campbell, Desmand King and Allen Williams are three players Webb has praised for their recent efforts.
“The form of Clarence, Desmand and Allen has been great over the past few weeks and it’s due to their hard work on the training paddock,” Webb said.
“All three constantly lead the drills and do all the little things for the younger players to copy.”
Lake Nash takes on Buffaloes from 2.30pm at Legend Oval.
