Perrin and Sciascia’s strong gross score of 88 set them up for victory in the first event of the City of Mount Isa Golf Open on Saturday.
The pair ended up five shots ahead of runners-up Patti Thompson and Gail Kum Sing (93 gross) to claim the DSI open women’s foursomes title.
Thompson and Kum Sing had a strong first nine holes but a couple of bad shots on the run home saw them drop of the pace.
In the handicap department, a countback was needed to separate three teams that returned cards of 73.5 nett.
Jackie Thinee is no stranger to the nett podium and teamed up with Ann Glover to secure victory.
A strong back nine allowed Thinee and Glover to storm home and edge out their rivals to secure the nett victory.
Alison Gordon-Dunbar and Eva Gordon were awarded nett runners-up after a handy round around the course.
Perrin and Sciascia were again in the awards, claiming closest to the pin on the second and 17th holes.
Anne Sawczak’s approach on the 10th and Rene Thompson and Tarrene Frost’s combined effort on the 11th delivered them nearest-to-pin awards.
This acted as a perfect warm-up for all the players before this week’s open competition.
