Normanton and Karumba residents voted for six candidates on Saturday to replace resigned councillor Brenda Schneekloth.
On Monday the election results were updated with votes from the fifth polling booth.
Normanton Police Senior Sergeant Duane Amos still leads the count with 30.37 per cent of the votes, a 0.54 reduction from Sunday’s results.
Runner-up Calvin Gallagher’s standing rose by one percent to 26.12 percent of the votes while Andrew Murphy remains in third with 21.81 percent.
The sixth polling booth and postal votes need to be tallied before a result is released. There are 1191 enrolled voters in the shire, but only 52 per cent of these votes have been counted to date.
