The match went to six exciting innings, as Wanderers scraped out a 13-12 victory, in a match that could of gone either way.
Wanderers duo Jen Hamlett (pitcher) and Sharnee Lloyd (catcher) made it nearly impossible for their opponents to score runs and get past at times.
Caylea Neils’ commitment to her side was again on show, sliding into third base to ensure she got there safely.
Tina Bishop, Jo Mackenzie, Kristina Staines and Yasmin Brae were all solid once again for Wanderers, who are looking very imposing going into finals.
For the Devils, pitcher Hazel Martin made runs hard to come by for her opponents and was unlucky not to be rewarded more.
Katelin Hovi paired up well with Martin at catcher for the first time and proved she has what it takes to move there consistently.
Mellissa Horne, Jodie Lee King, Brenda Henricks and sisters Annette and Steph Downes all played hard for Devils.
Wanderers A kept their club’s dominance going on the day defeating Rebels White 13-2 thanks to a power batting display.
Amanda Bishop, Leonie black, Gracie Ryder and Nikki Byrne all kept the scoreboard ticking over with timely hits for Wanderers.
Rebels Linda King, Fiona Bryant, Ash Stanley and Dianne Denyer kept the opposition honest.
Rebels Red edged out Wanderers Gold in another tight contest 13-10, with Kartia Ball proving to be the difference with her pitching.
Rebels quadrant Megan Protheroe, Gerry Timonen, Mother Mohamed and Helen Burns starred on the day.
Marette Schulz, Teresa Knight, Coleen Byrne and Linda Walmsley were the best for Wanderers in a losing effort.
In the late game, Rebels Blue went down to Pirates 16-5 in a highly entertaining encounter.
Mellissa Nathan impersonated her Hall of Fame brother, Hayson, with some big hitting. Pirates trio Keira Dempsey, Zoe Rankine and Viginia Medwin all had a good day with the bat.
Rebels pitcher Jo Svenson will be having nightmares about Taelah Nardoo, who had two home runs against her.
Svenson kept her side in the match for the most part, including a full-length catch that left spectators speechless.
Margie Macdonald (catcher), Terrie Edwards, Alison Hagan and Loata Webber were best on ground for the Rebels.
Claire Emmerson stole the highlight of the day for Rebels, snaring an incredible outfield catch, which was followed up by an even better celebration.
