A mother-of-four who died from head injuries after an assault may have lain injured for more than half a day before paramedics were called, according to police.

Police are treating the death of Kirra-Lea McLoughlin as suspicious after she was found at her rural property near Gympie at Wolvi, about 200 kilometres north of Brisbane.
Paramedics were called to the scene at 3.30pm on Thursday, however it is believed Ms McLoughlin was attacked the previous night.
Ms McLoughlin, 27, was rushed to the Gympie Hospital before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where she died on Friday.
The post mortem is yet to be completed and police are investigating whether a weapon was used.
Fairfax Media understands that about six people have been interviewed by police and investigators are still trying to track down others who may know about the incident.
No arrests have been made.
Police maintained a crime scene at the Beenham Valley Road home for three days and took a number of items from the house as potential evidence, the Gympie Times reported.
Police formally released her name on Tuesday.
Neighbours said Ms McLoughlin’s four young children, all aged under nine, have not yet learned of their mother’s death.
It is understood they had not been living at the property last week.
