Two men wielding an axe and a piece of wood held up a Brisbane tavern in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The armed thieves entered the Mansfield Tavern on Wecker Road shortly before 2am and demanded the bar staff hand over cash and alcohol.
The attendants complied and the men fled in a Commodore sedan with a sum of cash and an amount of alcohol.
One man, who was described as about 184 centimetres tall with a dark complexion and short dark hair, covered his face with a dark cloth. He was wearing a dark grey, hooded jumper, jeans and white joggers.
His accomplice was described as about 160 centimetres tall, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hat, a grey and white striped jumper and dark pants.
No one was injured in the hold-up.
Investigations are continuing.
